Week of April 3 - 7 | Creation Phase Rebooted after Break

Research papers and revisions are still rolling back and forth between students, Addie & Heather. This is a friendly reminder to look at Skyward for communication about this Evidence of Learning.

This week, we look forward to seeing project plans, sketches, drafts, and prototypes come together. Please keep all evidence of your process. All the ideas and possibilities generated. All of the versions. Successes. Failures. All of it shows your thinking and will reveal to you (and others) how you make choices in your creative process.  You have had time off from your project or maybe you spent all of your break working on something for your project, but it is time to relaunch/reboot your process.  Regain your focus and drive forward.  Exhibitions are in EIGHT Weeks.  It may sound like a lot, but time is dwindling.

The other days this week should be dedicated to moving project forward according to group norms and agreements. Please see last week's post for recommendations and reminders.

Tim and Molly will be following up on Exhibitions of Learning Preparation Forms and Stuart would like Art Supply Requests.

By the end of this week, Skyward Grades will be updated.  Please do not email your IDEATION or RESEARCH Advisors unless your grade is marked 0 out of 4.  Otherwise, it has not been transcribed over from our other gradebook.

Before leaving for break at the end of the week, create a plan for what you need to read, sketch, make in the next week. Your project should be part of you, not part of school, meaning it should continue despite taking a break from school.

Advisors, please enter grades into the spreadsheet in Google Drive that has been shared with you.  The Friday before break was an Evidence Check day for you to give feedback to your group of students.  Also, remember to enter attendance in Skyward.  If you are still having trouble accessing the Skyward Attendance for IDEAS Block, contact Ted/Kimberly ASAP.

MONDAY

Issues & Ethics students will be out of the building for an event in Madison, WI.

TUESDAY
Seek out some feedback about what you are making from a peer.  Take a minute and look at their work.

WEDNESDAY
Take some time to experiment with new skills in your art form.  Try something that is going to challenge your skills and your project creation.

THURSDAY
Take a step back from what you are making.  Look at it from the perspective of other students, teachers, and professionals in your art form.  Think about what is working well and what can be improved.

FRIDAY

Self-Assessment #2 will be a part of your Do Now for this day.
